One of those fun things you always find on character shrines are the kabalarian name analysis. They're fun and usually pretty accurate, and I'm not sure how I overlooked it for so long o_O; But here's one for Vash, with some commentary afterward.
Your first name of Vash has given you energy, drive, and ambition, but also an almost excessively strong-willed and independent nature. While you are creative, inventive, and ingenious in practical matters, and always ready to initiate and promote new undertakings, you often experience difficulty in bringing your undertakings to a successful conclusion because of your own changing interests or changing circumstances. You become intensely involved with everything you plan to do, but the stress arising from frustrating obstacles or misunderstandings with others could prompt you to be intolerant and sarcastic in your expression, with breakdowns in congenial relations with family and friends a possible end result. Any emotional outbursts or moods would register as tension in your solar plexus, resulting in nervous indigestion and related problems. Tension could also centre in the head affecting the eyes, ears, sinuses, or teeth. True relaxation and peace of mind are elusive under this name.
Vash can definitely be described as having energy, drive, and ambition. He'd have to have lots of energy to do all the traveling in the desert and the like ^_^; He has the maniacal drive to avenge Rem's death, so that's a go, and also ambition to stick up for and help others. I'm not sure how strong-willed he is. After all, for the most part he lives through Rem's teachings and almost lives his life for her, doing the right thing. Sure, it's his will (and I really like the idea), but... I dunno, I guess that's arguable. He's also very independent, especially after he shot Knives, stole his gun, and lived, you know, by himself for all those years ^_^; He's definitely creative, inventive, and ingenious in practical matters. He often has to find new and different ways out of situations, and it's particuarly difficult when you consider he does it without taking any lives. THAT takes a lot of all three of those things. He doesn't really do NEw undertakings in my mind, he seeks out Knives and saves people along the way for many, many years, but I suppose it can be said that whenever he saves someone it's a new undertaking. He experiences difficulty with his undertaking of seeking out Knives and avenging Rem, to be sure, but it's definitely NOT because his interests change ^_^; They stay the same right to the end. I'm just gonna quote the next part and leave it with you as it is, because it doesn't need an explanation. It's kind of the plot of Trigun and the basic summary of Vash's character ^_^ "You become intensely involved with everything you plan to do, but the stress arising from frustrating obstacles or misunderstandings with others could prompt you to be intolerant and sarcastic in your expression, with breakdowns in congenial relations with family and friends a possible end result." lol ^_^; I'm gonna skip the physical ailments, because besides depression and physical weakness, I'm gonna assume he's immune to diseases due to his... er, plantlike nature. I like the last line though, "True relaxation and peace of mind are elusive under this name," because that also is so very Vash. I can't think of any other characters that deserve relaxation and peace of mind more than he does ^_^
The Kabalarians strike again with another VERY accurate analysis. It's kind of uncanny ^_^;
